At its annual organizational meeting, the Board shall elect a Missouri School Board Association (MSBA) delegate and alternate.
Duties of the MSBA Delegate
- Serve as the liaison between MSBA and Board of Education.
- Report monthly to the Board on important issues identified by MSBA to include state and national issues; opportunities and concerns related to public schools; and other specific information important to boards of education and the school districts they represent.
- Serve as a resource to the regional leadership committee in identifying persons with leadership skills to serve in regional leadership positions.
- Actively participate in the development and promotion of the MSBA platform.
- Attend and participate in the annual delegate assembly.
- Attend and participate in MSBA spring and fall meetings.
Duties of the MSBA Alternate
The MSBA alternate will assume the roll of delegate if the delegate is unable to serve.
