The counseling staff, in consultation with other staff members, is responsible for reviewing students' academic progress as well as personal/social concerns. Where appropriate, the District will make contact with and/or put students and their parents/guardians in contact with outside agencies or professional resources. Where appropriate, the District will cooperate and assist other agencies or professional resources that become involved with students. Student information will not be provided to outside agencies or professional resources until the student's parents/guardians or eligible student have signed a release of information form. Except as required by law, including but not limited to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the cost of any services provided by the outside agency or professional resource is the sole responsibility of individual parents/guardians or eligible student.
