High School Enrollment Assessment
Prior to consideration and determination of eligibility, high school staff will review, among other things:

Past classes taken
-
Academic history
-
Credits
-
Logs
-
Attendance
-
Transcripts
-
Student’s age
-
Semester taken in-state and out-of-state
-
Semester taken in non-traditional academic events
The purpose of this review will be to determine “prior semester” earned credit and the students’ grade placement upon enrollment. In doing so, staff will determine if credit for courses taken will be granted for purpose of the 80% requirement rule.
Determining Status of Bona Fide Students1

Consider whether seat time credit (minimum of one unit of credit) will be placed on the transcript

Outside courses must be approved and validated in meeting the 80% rule

Review and assess outside classes, including testimonial evidence, course syllabi, and timelines for such classes

Review academic success, including work logs, attendance, hours of instruction,grades achieved, transcripts, and confirmatory testing where deemed necessary

Ensure close of semester is designated for non-traditional Option 2 students
-
All students, traditional and non-traditional, must satisfy citizenship standards, semester rules, age rules, etc.
