Regular attendance is essential in providing District students with a high quality of instruction.
Certificated Staff
Eligible certificated staff will have available 10 discretionary days of absence per school year. The maximum number of cumulative discretionary days for eligible certificated staff is unlimited.
Support Staff
Eligible support staff employees will have available three (3) discretionary days of absence per year. In addition, the following support staff employees will accumulate one (1) day per month for the months of:

August through April |
The maximum number of cumulative days for eligible support staff employees is unlimited.
Excessive Absence
When employees are absent more than five (5) days in any semester or more than ten (10) days per school year, their absence is considered excessive. The Superintendent/designee will review each incident of excessive absence and may require the employee to provide medical documentation or may consider disciplinary actions up to and including termination. In addition, if a certificated employee is absent for more than two (2) consecutive days, the employee will be required to provide a physician’s excuse for the length of the absence. Failure to do so will result in docking of the days absent.
