CCR2 Graduating Academic Recognition
In the interest of encouraging and recognizing outstanding academic achievement, a combination
of the Latin Honor System and Valedictorian(s) and Salutatorian(s) will be selected for each high
school graduating class per the following criteria:
1) Valedictorian Based on Unweighted GPA and is the Highest Class GPA.

2) Salutatorian Based on Unweighted GPA and is the Second Highest Class GPA.

3) Latin Honor System Utilizing Unweighted GPA.
4) Weighted GPA will still be collected on student transcripts to be used on scholarship
and/or College/University applications.
5) All students who qualify for Latin Honor System recognition will receive a cord. All
students who qualify for Valedictorians and Salutatorians will receive a medal.
6) Speakers at graduation will be selected through an application process at the high school.
7) This process will start the 2022-23 school year.
Latin Honor System Recognition
Summa Cum Laude (With Highest Honor) – 3.9000 GPA
Magna Cum Laude (With Great Honor) – 3.7000 GPA
Cum Laude (With Honor) – 3.5000 GPA
*Ranking will not be listed on transcripts or grade cards.
