P 4330 Holidays and Vacation

The Board will annually adopt a calendar which will provide for the following holidays:

1. Thanksgiving     (All employees)

2. Christmas     (All employees)

3. New Year's Day     (All employees)

4. Memorial Day     (All employees except teachers, for which the day falls within the original work calendar.)

5. July 4th     (All employees except teachers, for which the day falls within the original work calendar.)

6. Labor Day     (All employees except teachers, for which the day falls within the original work calendar.)

Staff members will not receive additional compensation for holidays unless they are required to work on such holidays.

Administrators employed on a twelve (12) month contract shall have 15 days paid vacation. Vacation shall be scheduled in compliance with the Superintendent's guidelines and is subject to Superintendent approval.

Other 12-month employees will receive 10 days paid vacation after one-year year of employment. After 10 years of service to the District employees will receive an additional 5 days paid vacation. Twelve-month employees who begin employment after July 1 will have vacation prorated up to July 1 of the next year.
