P 4330 Holidays and Vacation

The Board will annually adopt a calendar that will provide for the following holidays:

  1. Independence Day
  2. Labor Day
  3. Thanksgiving Day
  4. Day after Thanksgiving
  5. December 24
  6. December 25
  7. December 31
  8. January 1
  9. Memorial Day
  10. President’s Day or Martin Luther King Day
  11. Easter Monday
  12. Good Friday

Staff members will not receive additional compensation for holidays unless they are required to work on such holidays.

Certificated employees employed on a twelve (12) month contract shall have fifteen (15) days of vacation.  Support staff employed for twelve (12) months shall receive ten (10) vacation days per year plus one (1) additional day per year of service after five (5) years of service with a maximum of fifteen (15) days per year.  Vacation shall be scheduled in compliance with the Superintendent's guidelines and is subject to the Superintendent’s approval. A maximum of five (5) days of unused vacation leave may be carried over to the following school year. Any vacation days not used by June 30, in excess of five (5), shall be forfeited.
