P 4310 General Attendance

Regular attendance is essential in providing District students with a high quality of instruction.  Certificated staff and support employees, who have full-time positions, have available the following paid time off (PTO)  days of leave per school year: 

9 month employees - 8 days

10 month employees - 9 days

12 month employees - 10 days

Part-time employees will have a prorated amount of days based on their employment status. 

Leaves are cumulative to a maximum of 90 days. 

When certificated employees and support employees are absent more than 6 days in any semester or 12 days per school year, their absence is considered excessive.  The Superintendent/designee will review each incident of excessive absence and may require the employee to provide medical documentation or may consider disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
