The Board of Education directs the Administration to determine whether a disabled student is in need of a surrogate parent within thirty (30) days of the date of notification that the student is living within District jurisdiction. The Administration is directed to notify Division of Special Education at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in writing within ten (10) days of the determination that such need exists.
The Director of Special Services will be responsible for overseeing the District's educational surrogate program.
