The graduation requirements are set out in this policy.
The minimum graduation requirements are as follows:
Communication Arts | 4 units |
Social Studies | 3 units |
Mathematics | 3 units |
Science | 3 units |
Fine Arts | 1 units |
Practical Arts | 1 units |
Physical Education | 1 units |
Health and Family Education | 1/2 units |
Personal Finance | 1/2 units |
Electives | 8 units |
Total | 25 units |
The District will accept courses offered through the Missouri Course Access and Virtual School Program (MOCAP) as units of credit meeting state and local graduation requirements provided however the quantity and quality of completed student works meets standards applicable to the District's traditional program. (See Policy Virtual Instruction Program).
The District may waive one unit of academic credit in science, as appropriate, for students who successfully complete an eligible three-unit career/technical program. Students must request this credit waiver prior to enrolling in the career/technical program for which the waiver is sought. Classes which include a required end-of-course exam are not eligible for waiver.
Eligible students, as defined in Regulation 2525, may pursue a timely graduation from high school through the School Flex Program. Eligible students participating in the School Flex Program will be considered full-time students.
