The Board of Education recognizes that the use of tobacco products represents a health and safety hazard. Similarly, the use of substances appearing to be tobacco products, including, but not limited to, e-cigarettes, creates an environment where tobacco products are endorsed.  Therefore, the use of tobacco products and substances appearing to be tobacco products shall be prohibited in and around all District buildings and grounds. This Policy applies to all employees, students and patrons attending school-sponsored activities and meetings.  Those 21 and older may return to their vehicle or utilize the designated smoking areas if they desire.
