Vacation Time - Classified Personnel
Definitions:
1) 12-month employee- one who works 12 months regardless of hours worked per week
2) 11-month employee - one who works 11 months regardless of hours worked per week
3) Pro-Rated - The number of months worked divided by twelve months
4) First Year - elapsed time from the date of hire to the following June 30th, provided that employment begins at least 3-months prior to June 30th
Twelve-month classified staff will be provided one weeks paid vacation comparable to one-week's hours worked at the end of the first year, two weeks comparable to two-week's hours worked at the end of the third year, and three weeks comparable to three week's hours worked at the end of the 10th year of employment.
Eleven-month classified staff will be provided a pro-rated one weeks paid vacation comparable to one-week's hours worked at the end of the first year (4 ½ days), pro-rated two weeks comparable to two-week's hours worked at the end of the third year (9 days), and pro-rated three weeks comparable to three week's hours worked at the end of the 10th year of employment (13 ½ days).
When requested, the first week of eligible classified vacation time must be used during non-student days. All vacation requests must be approved by the Superintendent.
