The Board of Education recognizes the positive effects of parent and family involvement in the education of children. The Board is committed to strong parent/family involvement in working collaboratively with district staff as knowledgeable partners in educating district students. The Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) committee in the area of Parent Education (MSIP 7.5) will support and promote this commitment. The CSIP committee's responsibilities will include recommendations for program development, parent/staff training and program evaluation. Program evaluation reports will be prepared and submitted to the Superintendent annually by September 1. The committee chairperson will present results of the evaluation to the Board of Education. The superintendent or designee from the district administrative staff will serve on the committee in addition to at least one parent representative from each attendance center in the district.
